Celebration of the Word

As we begin our new academic year, we invite you to join us at our upcoming times for Mass or Celebration of the Word.

Beginning of Year Mass

We began our year in the most wonderful way as we worshipped together.

This year, we are incredibly fortunate to introduce our pupil music team, led ably by Mr Holmes. These pupils have been attending an after school club to begin to learn some of the music used during Mass. We are incredibly proud of them!

Christmas Mass

It was so fantastic to spend our last day together in Mass. Every child and staff in school wore Christmas jumpers to raise money for St George’s Church.

At school, we really do love our christmas hymns and we sang our hearts out with the support of the fantastic Miss Lewis. Thank you to our amazing new recruits in the music team who are doing exceptionally well.

Thank you again for a lovely Mass. We hope you have a lovely Christmas break!

All Saints Mass

It was lovely to celebrate Mass for All Saints Day with the wonderful Fr Alan. It was great that children dressed up as saints and we learnt about their life and how they became saints.

Class 12 read beauitfully and lead the Mass perfectly and it was lovely to spend time together singing and praying.

Advent 2024

Each year, our school community comes together, alongside parents and visitors, to embark on the sacred journey of Advent. To honour this tradition, students from Years 2 to 6 guided us in a heartfelt Celebration of the Word, ably led by the Chaplaincy Team lighting each candle of the Advent Wreath to symbolise our shared journey. This year’s service was as unforgettable as ever, blending poetry, spoken word, drama, liturgical dance, and even a faith-inspired take on a recent TV talk show!

Ash Wednesday 2025

Each year, we unite as a school community, joined by parents and visitors, to embark on the sacred journey of Lent. To mark this occasion, students from Years 2 to 6 led us in a beautiful Celebration of the Word, followed by the Chaplaincy Team placing ashes on our foreheads, symbolizing the forgiveness of our sins as we begin this holy season. This year’s service was just as memorable as those in the past, featuring a rich blend of poetry, spoken word, drama, liturgical dance, and even a faith-inspired twist on a popular quiz show!

We would love to see you there!
